3D Modeling

You've probably noticed by now that I have 3D versions of my logo throughout this website. I've never really considered myself a "3D modeler" by profession, but I have been working in 3D space for many years. I've mostly done 3D modeling for animation projects, logos and industrial design. Most recently, I have been doing quite a bit of work in industrial design. While working for IntelliTouch, I had the opportunity of working on their new Eos Wireless iPod Speaker System. I designed all of the marketing materials and the website, but what was really cool was designing the actual look of the product itself. Sure...I helped design many of the IntelliTouch telephone products, but this was completely different. I started with pencil sketches then jumped head first into Autodesk Maya and started modeling the plastic housing for Eos. I designed the Base Station as well as the Wireless Speakers. Heck, my name is even on the patent list for helping design the removable power adapter on the speakers, as well as the overall look of Eos. What was really cool about this project was seeing how the shapes on my screen evolved into perfect replicas that I could actually hold in my hands and eventually see on a store shelf. It was a truly amazing experience that I am really proud of!
