Personal Data: About Jason Kessel

I hope you have been enjoying my website so far. You already know that I am an Artist, Graphic Designer and Animator...and you already know how passionate I am about art. On this page, I'll be telling you a little bit about me as a person. Be sure to also check out the other personal data by using the menu above. Some of you will especially like the "Testosterone Zone".

I was born on November 20th, 1970 at Grossmont Hospital in East San Diego County, California. My Father, now retired, was an Electric Engineer trained in the Navy. He was also on a Mine Sweeper in the Vietnam war. His Mother is where I get my artistic abilities. My Mother, retiring soon, is what I like to call a "Professional Horse Person". She probably knows more about horses than anyone I know. My parents both ride horses several time a week and they enjoy it quite a bit. I owe my love and passion for animals and nature to my parents. I've been interested in animals, hiking and fishing ever since I was little. This is why some people call me "nature boy".

I've lived in three different states. California, Indiana and Georgia. Due to my Dad's Electric Engineering career, we moved a few times. While it was difficult maintaining long-term friendships and I had a rough time in Georgia (friggen Civil War is over people!), I have no regrets. We travelled a lot and I've gotten to see almost all the states in this beautiful Country. Those experiences have made me the person I am. I am very thankful for the life I had as a kid.

We moved back to California in the summer of 1987. I finished my last two years of high school in the same town where I grew up in the 70's. When I started going to college after high school, I worked as an Assistant Manager at a local Pizza joint. This is where I met Krista, who is now my wife. To put it mildly, I was sort of a "wild man" at the time. She didn't even really like me at first. However, through mutual friends, she got to know me as a person...when I was away from my "wild" element. We eventually moved in together. At that point I decided to "grow up" and pursue my artistic career. In 1995 we got married and shortly after, I got my college degree.

In 1999, we bought our first house. It was a tiny, little place that we could barely afford. However, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. My career really began to take off, and five years later we decided to sell the house and move into a bigger house. We made a killing off of our first house when we sold it. That enabled us to put a good down payment on a much nicer home. The house we live in now is wonderful! While the house itself is not huge, it has a beautiful swimming pool and the neighborhood is very nice. We have many family gatherings here...which is one of the reasons we picked this house. It's the perfect party pad. We love this place!

In 2004 I was elected Vice President of the North County Warriors Support. It is a charity organization I became involved with several years ago, that was founded by my Godfather. I started out helping them by donating my creative work. The North County Warriors Support helps military families by doing free car repairs. We have a few shops that that help us out, but we're always looking for more help and donations. These are the people that help protect our freedom, yet they don't get paid squat. It warms my heart to help these people.

Well, there you have it. In a nut shell, that's who Jason Kessel is. So...what's next? We're hoping to have a child someday soon. Stay tuned...
